Baseline Ltd’s Construction and Project Manager Geoffrey Askew, has been in the construction industry for over 20 years. Throughout these years and years prior, Geoff, a Licensed Building Practitioner, has developed a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of what this industry has to offer.
Geoff, a Wellingtonian, grew up surrounded by design, construction and creativity. He is a third generation member of the construction industry. His Grandfather was an owner and manager of his own Wellington based construction company. His father was an accomplished carpenter/joiner before pursuing a career in Naval Architecture. His mother, an interior designer, his sister is an active registered architect, and one brother, a well respected Industrial Designer. Whew!
Geoff trained and obtained his qualifications through a cadetship with Fletcher Construction in Wellington alongside Wellington Polytechnic School of Construction.
The sharemarket crash of 1987 prohibited further advancement so Geoff left these shores and started his own company in London, contracting to a major hotel refurbishment. After returning to New Zealand, Geoff contracted to various construction based companies before launching Baseline Ltd in 2002.
Baseline Ltd employs qualified carpenters and has, over the years, trained several apprentices. Baseline Ltd has also secured strong relationships with a select group of sub-contractors and designers to ensure contract continuity, reliability, and productivity. These are critical factors when undertaking any construction project.
Their previous projects include high-end residential renovations, shop fitouts, Light commercial strengthening and weathertight building resolutions. Even school playgrounds.
Having recently completed his own house renovation, Geoff has great respect and sympathy for the client and knows exactly what they are going through!!!!
